ECU has been a pioneer in the Small Group Aggregate Only marketplace. For more than five years, we have provided an easy, worry-free transition for fully insured groups to move to self funding.
With the increase of Small Group Aggregate only products in the Self-funded Medical Stop Loss marketplace, East Coast Underwriters, LLC (ECU) continues to differentiate ourselves from the pack, assisting our select TPA partners in targeting groups up to 250 lives.
We are very proud to introduce the private labeling and trade marking of our own Aggregate Only product, EZ AGG™ with two new and exciting features that will allow employers options for managing their risk. These features are the 12/12 Plus™ and Monthly Claim Account Reconciliation Assistance.
Effective immediately, we ask all our valued partners to refer to ECU’s Small Group Aggregate Only product as: EZ AGG™.
EZ AGG™
ECU’s new EZ AGG™ still includes all the same features you have been accustomed to in our Aggregate Only product but with some new added features: 12/12 Plus™ and Monthly Claim Account Reconciliation Assistance.
12/12 Plus™
12/12 Plus™ was developed to provide the employer options for the first year coverage as well as the renewal process. This feature is unique to the marketplace.
Monthly Claim Account Reconciliation Assistance
Our clients will also have access to our Monthly Claim Account Reconciliation Assistance. The result is an even easier claim administrative process.
EZ AGG™ Product Features
Funding Choices: Clients can continue to choose between the Immediate Reimbursement feature or the Monthly Accommodation feature at the time of binding. Underwriting and pricing will be the same regardless of which option is chosen.
Our EZ AGG™ product is offered only through a select group of TPA's. Below is a list of advantages that EZ AGG™ has to offer your new clients.
- Lower Maximum Cost: The maximum cost of an EZ AGG™ plan is much lower than traditional specific and aggregate product and very close to a fully insured program. The aggregate corridor is much lower and thus maximum cost lower.
- Client Funding is capped - No More Cash Calls: The only money the client is required to fund on a monthly basis are aggregate premium rates and aggregate factors. Traditional specific and aggregate products require the client to fund amounts above the specific deductible and aggregate attachment point then wait for a reimbursement. Through a special banking arrangement with a Pan-American or Gerber Life claim account, EZ AGG™ will automatically and immediately fund any claims above the attachment point.
- No Specific or Aggregate Claim Submissions: With our immediate reimbursement feature, there are no claim submissions required.
- No Lasers on Renewals: No Lasers will not be placed on renewal of this Aggregate Only product.
- Potential for Year End Reimbursement: Should the actual claims come in lower than the attachment point at year end the client will have a positive balance in their claim account, a feature that will never happen with a fully insured product.
