Aaron has been with ECU since its inception, and has been working in the self-funded insurance industry since 1992. Aaron gained experience working with two national Managing General Underwriters in various positions, including underwriting, sales and operations, and also spent time with one of the Northeast's largest Third Party Administrators managing their stop loss department.

A native of New York, Aaron holds a business administration bachelor's degree in Accounting from St. Bonaventure University in Olean, NY.

Mike joined ECU in April 2008 as our VP of Sales. Prior to ECU Mike was a member of the Senior Management Team with one of the largest Third Party Administrators in the country. Working in the industry since 1997 Mike held various positions, including Director of Stop Loss for both Claims and Underwriting. He also spent time in Sales and Product Development.

A native of Buffalo, NY, Mike attended Canisius College.

Mike has been working in the insurance industry since 1997 with experience in healthcare underwriting, largely spent providing medical stop loss to a nationwide marketplace. Mike was also Managing Director of Niagara Re overseeing all aspects of the organization’s function, and is responsible for expanding the block 600%. As ECU’s new Vice President of Underwriting Mike’s primary focus will be on managing the underwriting the Buffalo office and developing new relationships while ensuring the success of our existing partners.

Michael attended Saint Lawrence University in upstate New York and currently resides in the Chicago area.

A part of ECU since its beginning, Tammie was hired as a Stop Loss Claims Auditor, quickly advancing to the position of Office Manager, overseeing policy issuance, licensing, Stop Loss premium coordination, and day-to-day office operations. Before ECU, Tammie worked for 13 years with self-funded businesses at a local South Carolina Third Party Administrator, where she was a Claims Auditor and later promoted to Vice President of Operations. Tammie also has five years of insurance experience.

Tammie holds an associate degree in Accounting and is licensed as a Life and Health agent.

Kevin Bryant

Kevin's insurance career began in 1997 when he joined a large fully insured medical carrier as an intern. Following this, Kevin was hired by a Managing General Underwriter as an Underwriting Analyst. After the company was purchased by another carrier, Kevin was promoted to Jr. Underwriter in the summer of 2001. He joined ECU in July of 2004.

Kevin received his bachelor's degree from Morehouse College in 1999.

Donna Duncan

A part of the medical insurance business since 1981, Donna has held various positions including Medical Assistant for a cardiology practice, Insurance/Billing Coordinator for a neurosurgery practice, and Claims Approver for a large insurance company. In 2002 Donna accepted a Claims Examiner position with a local South Carolina fully insured carrier and was promoted to Cost Containment Analyst in 2005. She came to ECU in July 2005 as a Risk Analyst and Claims Auditor, and was promoted to her current position six months later.

In 1990 Donna was named Approver of the Year for her position as a Claims Approver.

Maureen Wilkie

A Registered Nurse of 18 years, with 17 years experience in the Utilization Management Industry including Supervisor of Utilization Management for the largest Third Party Administrator in the northeast, Director of the Utilization Management Department for a large Managed Care Organization, Client liaison and Oncology Nurse Case Manager for an Oncology Disease Management company, and various other Nurse Case Manager roles. In 2004 she formed her own company, Quality Case Management, LLC which performs claims review for medical necessity and proper benefit allocation, with a sub-specialty in chemotherapy review. Other functions include Out of Network claim negotiations and ad hoc Case Management functions.

Maureen earned her Registered Nursing degree from the Milliard Fillmore Hospital School of Nursing in Buffalo, NY. She also received her Case Manager Certification in 1997.

Christine joined ECU in June of 2007 and has worked in the insurance industry since 1998. Christine held various positions in the self-funded industry including Marketing and Stop Loss Administration for a South Carolina Third Party Administrator. Christine later worked as a fully-insured medical underwriter and eventually spent time working claims department for auto carrier. Christine holds a bachelor’s degree in Marketing and Sociology from Converse College in Spartanburg, SC.

Ashley Joined ECU in August 2006 as an Assistant to the Underwriting Department. Ashley is a native of Philadelphia and moved to South Carolina in 2002. In July 2007 Ashley was promoted to Underwriter.

Ashley holds a bachelor's degree in Elementary and Early Childhood Education from Temple University.

Rita Jenkins

Rita joined ECU in February 2010 as Claims Auditor. Rita’s previous experience includes Provider Service Representative, Claims Supervisor and Auditor with one of the largest Third Party Administrators in the country.

A native of New York, Rita attended NCCC for Culinary Arts and holds a certificate in Office Administration.

Jeaneen has worked as a stop loss Underwriter since February 2007 and has worked in the self funding industry since 2001. She previously held positions as a Stop Loss Administrator prior to being promoted to Stop Loss Supervisor, where she was responsible for the day to day operations of 13 staff members and the entire block of stop loss accounts for one of the nation’s largest Third Party Administrators. Jeaneen is currently responsible for both prospective and renewal underwriting.

Donna has worked in the self funding industry since 1996 and has held various positions including Medical Claims Supervisor, Account Manager and Stop Loss Manager. Donna was actively involved in all aspects of forming a start up MGU and assisted in growing its stop loss block to $20 million. Primary duties include medical underwriting, policy issuance and review of premium/claims reporting.

Donna works out of our New York office and holds a degree in Health Care Administration from State University of New York College at Fredonia.

Kim has been an Underwriting Administrative Assistant since March 2008. Kim’s responsibilities include receiving and logging RFPs, distributing to underwriters, creating census breakdown for each case where appropriate, and maintaining the renewal checklist.

Kim has an Associates Degree from Niagara County Community College.

Teresa is a Spartanburg native and joined ECU in 2010 as an accounting clerk/office assistant. She holds accounting degrees from both Spartanburg Technical College and Converse College. Her background is in office administration of small businesses, specializing in residential construction and related fields.
